Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information. Information you provide to us directly when you use the site, and information collected automatically when you visit.

Information you provide

When you create an account, place a hire order or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, including suburb and postcode. To arrange your hire we also collect the details you enter about your procedure, which may include your surgery date, the location of your surgery and your surgeon. We collect any special delivery instructions you choose to give us.

Sensitive information

Some of the information you give us to arrange a hire is health related, such as your surgery date, the location of your surgery and your surgeon. Health information is treated as sensitive information and is given a higher level of protection under the Australian Privacy Principles. We collect it only with your consent, we use it only to fulfil and time your hire and to coordinate delivery around your recovery, and we do not use it for marketing. We will not use or disclose your sensitive information other than as permitted, required or authorised by law.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting and infrastructure provider may automatically log standard technical data sent by your browser, such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. If you encounter an error, limited technical detail about that error may be recorded so we can diagnose the problem. This data may not identify you on its own, though it may be possible to combine it with other data.

Why we collect and use your information

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our hire service. We use your information to do the following.

• Set up and manage your account.
• Process your hire order, payment and refundable deposit.
• Arrange delivery and coordinate the timing of your hire around your recovery.
• Contact you about your hire, including delivery, return and deposit refund.
• Meet our legal, accounting and record keeping obligations.
• Keep the site secure and prevent fraud.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment provider. Your card details are entered on Stripe secure checkout and are not stored on our systems. Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

Security of your information

We protect the personal information we hold within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss, theft and unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.

How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this statement, including for the life of your account and to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. When your information is no longer required, we will delete it or make it anonymous.

Children's privacy

This service is intended for adults arranging post-surgical recovery equipment. We do not aim our service at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under 13.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run the hire service, and only with the following.

• Stripe, to process your payment and deposit.
• Our hosting and infrastructure provider, which stores the site and its data.
• Our email delivery provider, so we can send you order and hire notifications.
• Courts, regulators and law enforcement, where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
• A party that acquires our business, in which case your information may be transferred.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including Stripe, may store or process data outside Australia. Where your personal information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this statement and applicable law. Countries where data is processed may not have the same data protection laws as Australia.

Your rights and choices

You have rights over your personal information, including the following.

• You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• You may ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.
• You may make a complaint if you believe we have breached your privacy, and we will investigate and respond.
• You do not have to provide personal information, though if you do not, we may be unable to provide the hire service.

Use of cookies

We use cookies that are essential to running the site, such as keeping you signed in and processing your payment securely. We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. Changes to this statement

We may update this Privacy Statement to reflect changes to our processes or to legal requirements. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a new last updated date. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
